Laziness == Efficiency?
Laziness quite often means efficiency and when you combine laziness with a strong drive you end up with the desire to find the most efficient solution possible.
– By Scott H. Young (The Laziest Solution Possible)
I think one needs to differentiate between two types of laziness:
- Lack of motivation That's the "bad one" – it mean that the affected person should probably find an occupation in a different area, where they can follow their passion.
- Endeavour to solve problems efficiently That's the "good one" – it leads to pragmatic solutions, or in some cases, the insight that the problem doesn't even exist, or has already been solved.
